It’s time to wrap up our research for week 8. Ian and I had a great podcast this morning and is well worth the 30 minute time investment. I’m going to write a little less than usual today and limit the position suggestions somewhat because I feel the pod cast was that good today. Let’s get started.
Aaron Rodgers $8800/Matt Ryan $8500
I grouped these guys together as they are participating in a game that has the highest projected total on the slate. The Falcons have scored 30 points every game except Denver and Seattle. To further press the point except for the game against Denver every game involving Atlanta has had a total greater than 55 points , this tells us a bit about the quality of the Atlanta defense. In addition Green Bay is a top defense against the run so Atlanta will get its points through the air. On the Green Bay side of things with all their injuries to the running back position I expect Green bay also to inflict their damage through the air
Josh Mccown $6400
All he does is throw for 300 yards a game and I expect him to do so against a Jets defense that is stout vs the run and will funnel the Cleveland offense to pass against a terrible jets secondary. The only concern here is that Mccown also typically gets hurt every game so deploy at your own risk.
Andrew Luck $7900
May be my favorite quarterback on the slate in a pure points per dollar play. Luck has attempted 37 passes each of his last two games combined with four rushing attempts. I expect the colts to play from behind in this one and the return of Moncrief raises his ceiling.
Jamis Winston $7400
Tampa bay plays at the second fastest pace in the league and Oakland has one of the worst pass defenses in the league. In addition Oakland allows 4.6 red zone opportunities per contest on the season.
Consider Ryan Fitzpatrick and Brock Osweiller
Ezekiel Elliot $8500
Philadelphia has a good defense but like Green bay two weeks ago how good are they really. The Dallas offense line is in a class by itself and I’m going to have a ton of exposure here.
Spencer Ware $7400
As I’m typing I just saw Jamal Charles is out. Ware gets all the work against a poor run defense
Devin Booker $5600
Jaqueez Rodgers $6600
Reminds me of Deangelo Williams when Leveon Bell was out. Tampa seems contentvto give him 20-25 touches each week and I can’t pass up that volume for this price.
I’m fading Devonte Freeman explanation is on the pod cast( can you tell I really think you should listen to the pod cast)
Consider Christine Michael and David Johnson
Julio Jones $9200
I wish he would get more red zone usage but other than that I’m happy to deploy him in all formats.
Mike Evans $7900
These numbers are Evans targets the last five weeks don’t overthink just click the button and move on
Ty Hilton $7800
Nine targets every game. The return of moncreif may take away a target or two but more likely Jack Doyle eats less not Hilton.
The cheap guys
Willie Snead $6400/ Michael Thomas $5700
Drew Bree’s has to throw to some one and Richard Sherman should take away Brandon Cooks.
Consider Brandon Marshall Randall Cobbs and Deandre Hopkins
Rob Gronkowski $8100
Elite tournament play
Jimmy Graham $6900
If I can fit him he is plug and play in a revenge game against New Orleans
C j Fedorowicz $4900
Last weeks Jack Doyle getting a bigger part in the offense and Detroit struggling vs the tight end position
Dallas $4600 and Denver $5000 are the elite options for me this week
A Rodgers $8800
D Booker $5600
J Rodgers $6700
J jones $9200
R Cobb $6800
M Evans $7900
C j Fedowitz $4900
M Bryant $4800
