Baller on a Budget Week 14

We’re back from a brief All Star hiatus. Returning with us is a shooting guard who seems to have been on a nearly yearlong hiatus – Kyle Korver. Korver spent his offseason rehabbing injuries that robbed him of the ability to even shoot a basketball until August. At one point, one of the best shooters in the league was even reworking his entire stroke to be able to reach the basket on his signature three point attempts. That is not an exaggeration; he couldn’t reach the basket. Korver has struggled to regain the form that led him to an NBA high 49% from three-point territory last season, but it seems Korver is finally hitting his stride.

In his last five games, Korver is shooting the percentages that helped spur the Atlanta Hawks to a breakout season last year. Korver has made 14 of his last 27 attempts from deep. Over that span, Korver has gone over 20 fantasy points in four out of five and averaged 6.14 points per 1,000 daily fantasy dollars. It is rare to find a proven commodity and former All Star for under $4,500, but that’s exactly what we have here. Buy Korver stock while it’s low and watch him shoot you to some paydays.
