Last week, our boy Garett Temple shined with an average of 25.33 fantasy points over his four games. Just for good measure, Temple threw in a 35 fantasy point performance on Wednesday just to let you know it’s real. This week, I have a dream that again our Baller On A Budget will seize the opportunity afforded to him by an injured teammate.
The Miami Heat’s Tyler Johnson, stands to benefit from a rash of backcourt injuries. Goran Dragic missed multiple games last week and remains on the mend. Beno Udrih has a neck injury from the whiplash of watching his back so hard. And Dwyane Wade has boo boos on both of his shoulders from doing pregame chin ups on the rim. While the Heat are hopeful that all of their guards will play at some point this week, the door is still ajar for their youngest, healthiest guard – Tyler Johnson. Johnson has already shown great promise and production that has the organization high on his future. Last week, Johnson average 5.75 fantasy points per $1,000 despite his price tag ascending daily. That’s an astounding rate. Even if Johnson were to fall to 4.75 points per $1,000, he’s still well worth the value. Get Johnson on the cheap while you can! Udrih has already been ruled out for Tuesday, and with Johnson’s recent play, it wouldn’t be shocking to see Johnson’s price rise to over $5,000 before the week is over.
